You know, I have been here at this place for how long now? Seems like forever and then again, it seems like I just arrived.

I have just realized that I have never thanked anyone here.

This is an awesome place to be, veterans or civilians alike.

The caring & sharing, the hi-jinks, the discussions, even the 'rumbles' are like nothing I have ever seen on the Internet before.

It is one thing to share with folk.. but it is another when trickey discussions happen and tempers flare. And that happens in life. Yes it does. It is how one handles those types of situations which contribute to the making of better women and men! What I have seen so far is reality in this place. But a reality that helps to heal & comfort many folk.

So I cannot thank-you all enough. For being here. For me. And for others also.

I would like to leave you with this prayer.

Every Single Evening

Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little prayer
Keeps running through my head. God please bless and comfort
The members of my family.
Keep them warm and safe from harm
For they're so close to me. And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do.
Hope you don't mind me asking
Bless my computer too. Now I know that it's not normal
To bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain to you "My Lord." You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds & ends.
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my FRIENDS. I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live. By faith is how I know them,
Much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendship grew. Please, take an extra moment
