I would like to take a moment to update you on all of the changes made to the Patriot Files over the last several months. We have been working hard to increase the number and quality of services offered and would like to thank you for your participation and support of the site which has made these improvements possible.

Hardware

You may have noticed the site loading faster lately. This is due to a complete rebuild of the database and web servers. We were able to obtain a great deal on this hardware through a local source and have been very pleased with the performance gains realized since installation.

Software

We have installed a number of new programs in the last several months as follows:

The Military Locater Database -
This program allows members to place their information online and search others information without revealing their contact information. You will need to make a user account to access the member functions as this software is not connected to the main site's database. I would encourage you to sign up for this locater as it is a great means of securely allowing users to contact one another. The Usenet Portal -
The Usenet Portal gathers posts from relevant binary and text military Usenet groups. The binary groups have a wealth of photos and other materials available for download. The Usenet portal can be accessed at the following link: http://www.patriotfiles.com/index.ph...ap&page=Usenet

Proxy -
The Proxy allows users to browse the internet anonymously. It intercepts all of your requests and filters them through the server keeping your personal information private from the sites you visit. We have also changed financial institutions which has lead to the canceling of all former donation monthly subscriptions. We do however have a new gateway open for donations.

We would like to thank all of those who have contributed financially to the site and encourage anyone else who has considered it to do so as without this support the Patriot Files would have a very difficult time staying online.

Summary

We have done much to increase the speed, reliability , and functionality of the site in recent months. We have expended approximately $1,000.00 during these improvements. In the future we hope to continue to provide new improvements and services to the Patriot Files community and wish to thank you again for your participation and support of the site.

Q. How does one access the list?

It is a web search rather then a links directory. I am hand indexing a large number of military sites to make it easier to find offsite military related items.

We do have a links directory on the site located at:

This directory currently has 550 sites listed.
