BOHICA. Bend Over Here It Comes Again. The Hurricane Center is out of names now. They start using greek names now, alpha, beta...etc.

We are having a disaster around here in places because of drought. Kinda ironic, I would say. By the way, don't badmouth Wilma. Signed Fred

"Don't badmouth Wilma" is right!
Lowest pressure ever recorded in the Atlantic basin. Down to 884 millibars in 8 HOURS . In hurricane lingo this is what's called explosive deepening . |

LT................Looks like this one just may be the one folks on the West Coast of Fla. have been dreading for a long time now. Last one this bad hit the West coast in 1927 and pretty much destroyed most of Tampa and St. Pete.
Current forecasts call for this one to come on shore somewhere near Ft/Myers and/or Naples about 100 miles south of us here in Tarpon Springs, tampa and St. Pete. But, you know how that shit goes! They can never be absolutely sure until it gets much closer to the coastline. I've got my hurricaine emergency supplies re-stocked (water, canned food, batteries, weather radio, etc.) and my plywood ready to hang back up on all the windows and doors. Hopefully we won't need to do all this crap and it'll still stay on course to come in south of us. Either way, we're ready. If we have to evacuate we'll probably head up your way and stay at my daughters house just north of Atlanta for a few days and visit with the grandkids. (Did I tell you I was a "Paw-Paw" like you).........Five grandkids....15...10...7....5...and 2 years old will keep us happy AND busy! I'll keep everyone posted on the goings on around here for the next few days. Thanks again for the offer old friend.
