No Larry, she didn't work for the IRS... but she worked real hard and real well a long long time, just like you.

Lookin' forward to seeing the books, no rush.

I'm relieved in a certain way for you Larry... really happy about this change in life.

Default Larry

Just got back in town last night and saw this today!

Great news!

Welcome to the ranks of "old farts"!

I finally got mine (retirement) with my last hip replacement in 1996 (service related as you know)............also got my "certification" papers that same year for PTSD!

So I can PROVE without a doubt that I need to be "heavily medicated for your protection" as our psyco vets stuff says! (thanks Sid!)..

Hope you'll enjoy your "retirement" as much as I have enjoyed mine!

God bless and good luck!

Larry,
Just read about your retirement. It's 0445 and I'm doing 'guard duty' on the northern border looking for the illusive terrorist and drug smuggler as I have been for the past 16 years. I plan on pulling the pin June 1 from Customs. As you know, we recently moved from Treasury to the new Dept. of Homeland Security. Either way, it's still the government and, well, you know what I mean.

Enjoy your retirement- I sure as hell will.

Wayne :

Yes, I sure know what you mean !! .....I will not miss the commute ( 240+ miles a week ), all of the rules and regulations, our sorry cafeteria ( LOL ), some of the management types, and various and sundry other things...but I always liked the work ( fixing computer mainframe problems ) and most of the folks I worked with, some of whom I have known since 1972....it will be a change for sure, but I am looking forward to it !!

Wishing you all the best with your retirement as well !!

Larry
