Talking Major league Baseball

I'm wearing a dark blue hat with a Big red B on it. And for good reason this is the year that Babe ruth curse is wiped out once and for all.by mid october they will be dancing in the streets of bean town. there might even be free rides on the MTA who knows. We all win if Boston wins because they will know stranger things can happen take for instance maybe Teddy won't get reelected the folks I talked to back there didn't seem overly pleased by the fat boy maybe its time to put the big K boys out of business. just my thoughts Go Red Sox

I was for the SOX but the Cubs will have to do. They are not my favorite team but right now they have their work cut out for them. Atlanta is a tough team get by them and maybe - just maybe they got a chance.

This year there are many tough teams in the playoffs. They earned their shot at the big ticket. I wish all of them best and may the best team win.

I?m not a baseball fan; just never got excited about it I guess, but a few days back I did see a TV deal about the Red Sox and the alleged ?Bambino Curse?. How interesting and now I know sumpon about baseball legion and lore. I also learned that Boston baseball nuts are articulately, artfully, bountifully, intelligently and precisely insane about the Sox and make no bones about it. Wow, I had no idea such long-term intense loyalty existed. Interesting for sure and fun to learn about. :ek:

Post Have been a RED SOX fan since '67'

Hope the Red Sox go all the way.

Hey, Griz the Mariners had a great record they won 93 games and almost without exception you go to the playoffs with over 90 wins. More wins than the Cubs , More than the Marlins , More than Minnesota : Just in the wrong league and division. They had a great season by normal standards.
Just bad luck! That all, they should have been in the playoffs.

Keith,
I read today that the first move has already been made-lookin for a new GM.You`re right...90 wins is a good season by ANY standards, but it appeared to me that the Ms folded up their tents back in August. No fire-not even a spark. To me,that`s inexcusable. And to try to go down the stretch run with only one lefty out of the pen..well,that`s just plain stupid! In order to keep drawing 3 million a year, which they have to do to pay for the new ballpark, some changes have to come about.
