Remember those days
When you were coming or goin to Vietnam or both--when you got off your bus or plane and there were anti-war people yelling at you--sometimes throwing things at you like bags of dog (poop) baby killers etc. Remember those days?
Don't know about you but I always secretly wanted to meet one or a bunch of those folks and tell them exactly how I felt about them and how I feel now. Well it seems I ran across a forum (Perspectives)where a individual posted a few things I guess about her days as a Vietnam anti war protester and what she did then and what she would do now. I'm going to post what she said Title of posting "What would you do if Obama loses" posted in the Democrat/Liberal section. She more or less said if McCain and Palin are elected she will hit the streets and probably get thrown in jail. and then she said the following ------------------------------------- Why is it stupid? I feel that strongly. If Obama does not win -- actually, more to the point, if McCain/Palin win, then I will be out there kicking up hell. After 8 years of Bush I just couldn't face more years of the same. I have no kids at home now, if I chose to get out there and demonstrate vigorously, I am hurting no one at all. I spent a night in jail in the late 60's for anti-Vietnam demonstrating with a group of journalists, I am quite prepared to do it again. Here in San Francisco it's actually pretty hard to get arrested for protesting. And since almost the entire city is pro-Obama, it's not easy to rally groups who would intercept a protest and cause it to become violent. Not easy, but not impossible, we have our fair share of bigots and neo-cons. So those of us who plan to get arrested should McCain win, will have to think up some clever means of annoying the police enough to get ourselves arrested. There again, there'd be so many of us, I'm not sure they'd want to take us on. ------------------------ if this post is out of line let me know--I for one can't take these left wing socialist . |

Not out of line...
Your a vet and this is America. You're allowed to disagree with antagonists like this. I just look at the source....San Fransico.....nuff said. She obviously doesn't have a life.
