family picture with...
a different look...we call this the step ladder picture. me, dan topliffe , i am the
smallest member on this picture of my brothers and sisters. it was taken about 70 years ago. one of my sisters had it re-done several years ago. a nice touch and as a foot note...if we had a picture taken at a get together and one or more person was missing we always left that spot vacant. happy holidays to all,

Wazza, they didn't have barbers back then, ...just put a bowl on your head and snipped around the lip of it. Many an ear was lost.

Dangers of being the youngest
Dan
My grandmother that was born in England in 1888, used to grow her hair real long and her mother used to cut it short and sell the hair during the 1890's and early 1900's. Bet you were a candidate for some pillow filling too? :ek:

ken... you will not believe it but that there car looks exactly like my mother
drove...without a drivers license...but don't tell anybody!!! i would guess that it was one from the early 30's. my first car was a 1938 chevy. and i painted it fire engine red plus an 'air horn'. my pride and much "joy". top that if you will... dan t
