Another sleepless night

once again I'm awake and pecking at keys on the computer. Like many others here I have what the VA says is a sleeping disorder. I say that people who sleep all night long have the disorder. my self I wake up, check around the house to be sure everything is secure. I make the dogs go out even if they don't want too. then I turn on the computer check my e-mail's, delete a gazillian bulk messages from nigeria telling me i'm rich then I let the dogs in and go back to bed only to repeat the above a couple of hours from now. does anyone else have night issues.?

Good morning Chris. My brain tells me around 4:00 a.m. every morning that I'm wastin time and I can be doin sumthin. Sorry that it took so long fer me to git to tha 'puter this mornin but I had ta make waffles an giv the dog his pills be4 I let him out ta pee. Gotta go ta church now but I'll be back be4 tha green flag drops this afternoon.

I will do that occassionally when I have something heavy going on in my life. But usually I don't. I do get and go pee about 4:30 or 5 AM and go back to bed and get some sleep.

You just described my sleeping regiment before Lunesta. It seems to work except that the commercial says its suppose to last for 8 hours.....It doesn't

What works for me is zero carbohydrates, sugars or stimulants after about 3PM. Even so, I?m up at crack of doom, oh dark thirty, anyway, n? gettin good to go.
At a time I watched Imus in the morning, but that was just too ?busy? for ramp-up time and I was getting tired out too early in the day.
Now that global warming is back again, I?ll have my two mile evening walk and that helps also, especially if some scoundrel carbohydrate or sugar snuck in, somehow .

sne-3 yup have been known to do the 3:00 a.m. permitter checks, and up alert until 5:00 a.m. then sleep for about another 3 hours.

Have you tried Benadryl ? It is OTC.

a good herbal sleep inducer is Valerian pills. you can get them at pharmacies and health-food stores.

Morning guys thanks for the responces I do have sleeping pills from the VA but only take then when I can't get to sleep not when I can but wake up too early. at least I know others have troubles too. Maybe we should form a early breakfest club

Yeah, I wake at some pretty strange hours. More than once I've heard GQ called away. Fire Whistle going off will often get me sitting up straight in bed, looking for my clothing! Punching the head board will all so wake me up.
Thing that really sucks is that I'm up for only an hour or two, get droggy but can't fall back to sleep.
