In the forty years that I have owned cars, most of them were GM with most of those Chevy?s and one Pontiac and one Buick. All of them were good cars with nothing major going wrong with them. I also had a 68? VW Beetle and a 70? Plymouth GTX 440. The bug was the best car, up until my present car, I ever owned and the Plymouth was a piece of crap. Now I have a Ford Motor Company product that I bought in 1997 at the beginning of the 98? model year and with 130+K it still purrs just as good as it did when it was new. Actually I bought my car before Ford acquired the company. It?s a Volvo S70 and pretty much a base model. And Ron ? it has four doors so I guess I?m just one of those old people you mentioned. Maybe it can?t take your Pony but it can haul ass just the same.

Guess my cruisin' days ended with high school, but I can see where some people would want to hold on to that.

I can honestly say that I am going to get the best buy for my dollar, regardless of who makes the damn thing!

Default You guys

You buy what ever you want, 6 doors if you like, Its MY OPINION that Jap cars suck, That 4 door cars suck, that SUVs are just big station wagons. Hondas sound like egg beaters, little tiny 4 cylinders with big wings and big mufflers are stupid.
I go cruisin and go to the drag strip and car shows and swap meets, have for a very long time and plan on doing it for a very long time, Mustang car club cruse nights. You guys choose to live however you wish and so will I ,

Ron

My daily drive is a '94 Toyota Tercel that I've had almost 6 years... over 205,000 miles on it, and she purrs like a kitten.

Not a handsome or a quiet or a stylish vehicle, but real good on gas and maintenance.

Naturally though, if possible I'd like to have either a '63 Avanti, or a DeLorean

When younger, almost all my cars were either Pontiac or Chevy. The only Chevy I ever had serious trouble with was a Cavalier.

I did have a white '58 Dodge convertible that was mighty fine to look at, but nothing short of trouble mechanically. It did be a babe magnet, however.

My only vintage car was a '39 Cadillac LaSalle coupe... paid $750 for it in 1964.
