From everything I've read he has a Sociopahtic personality. We love our sociopaths and the charisma they project. History is full of sociopaths who gain power. Should we be surprised. Then its Illinois, the home of mob rule in politics. Just normal stuff in Illinois.

KHQA TV wishes to offer clarification regarding a story that appeared last month on our website ConnectTristates.com. The story, which discussed the appointment of a replacement for President Elect Obama’in the U.S. Senate, became the subject of much discussion on talk radio and on blog sites Wednesday.

The story housed in our website archive was on the morning of November 5, 2008. It suggested that a meeting was scheduled later that day between President Elect Obama and Illinois Governor Blagojevich. KHQA has no knowledge that any meeting ever took place. Governor Blagojevich did appear at a news conference in Chicago on that date.

Question

Why is Michelle Obama's license to practice law in Illinois on court-ordered inactive status? Why does one line say she's "voluntarily inactive," while the other mentions a court order?
I'm shocked the press didn't look into this during the campaign.
No I'm not.

RED ALERT: Chicago Tribune article referenced Obama-Blago discussions on Senate Seat!

David Axelrod, KHQA and now the venerable Chicago Tribune all independently reported that Governor Blagojevich and Barack Obama held discussions regarding his Senate replacement. That now makes four different sources (KHQA had two articles on the topic) that referenced one or more meetings that Obama said never took place. Who would you believe: me or your lying eyes?

Commenter Howdy pointed us to a Tribune article that references additional discussions between Obama and Governor Blagojevich regarding his Senate seat.
Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Thursday cited the potential for bad “karma” and avoided discussing potential Senate successors to Barack Obama should the Democratic nominee win the White House, but acknowledged he has a process in mind for making the most important appointment of his career.

“I just don’t want to jinx him and I don’t like the karma of me thinking that far ahead,” Blagojevich said of Obama’s prospects in Tuesday’s election. The governor added, “We have had some discussions about a process which we’ll share … if all goes well.”

Sources close to Blagojevich, who asked not to be named because they were not authorized to speak for him, said one issue would be to consider who could most help the governor politically.

What helps me in my quest for the future, whether it’s re-election or legacy?” one Blagojevich confidant said of the selection process being eyed by the Democratic governor, who has seen his job approval rating fall to staggering levels. “It’s a big milestone.”
It's a big millstone, alright. Oh. Did you say milestone? Sorry.

The Washington Post spends the next six paragraphs stating and analyzing Fitzgerald’s statement from Tuesday that nothing in the affadavit has anything to do with Barack Obama. They coo over how “unusual” it is for prosecutors to issue those kinds of statements, but that ignores the context of Fitzgerald’s statement. Reporters peppered him with questions about Obama and his potential connections to the scandal, and Fitzgerald told them to read the affadavit, because everything he had was in there.

Obviously, this is an ongoing investigation, and Fitzgerald will go where the evidence leads. Thus far, it has led to Blagojevich, although it seems unlikely that Rezko has any connection to the Illinois governor’s attempts to sell Obama’s Senate seat; that had to come from another source. Rezko will have plenty of information on other potential instances of corruption involving Illinois politics, and everyone with whom Rezko worked could be implicated.

Obama and Rezko worked together for more than ten years in Illinois politics. If Rezko was as dirty as a jury verdict states and as federal prosecutors believe, how likely is it that anyone employing him was squeaky clean? Their political association lasted over ten years, during the period when Rezko was corrupting state politics. It’s certainly possible that Rezko’s corruption didn’t involve Obama, but to assume it didn’t seems far too credulous by half, especially with the present example of Illinois politics before us now.

If Rezko’s singing, many politicians are sweating. Obama may be one of them. Let’s see what happens before being dismissive of the possibility.
