Actually I think I have had about as many Fords as Chevrolets My 1966 Ford Fairlane was the fastest car I ever owned though. It was a convertible to and was good for driving on hot nights before many cars had Air Conditioning. I have even had a couple of Dodges . I had a 1971 Dodge Charger once with a 383 cu. in motor and put a 440 motor in it before I had to sell it when my EX-Wife left me .
One thing I have never had is a car from overseas.

Yea there just watching to see if either one starts the name calling, Its there form of entertainment.
Im galed to see that no such thing happened and Jap cars suck.
2 liter is a soft drink.
Blown, turbo, nitrus on a jap car and you get 14s in the quarter mile.

I know some about them, 65-73 I know everything, 74-79 I Know most, 79-83 still Know most , 84- 1999 I know a lot, 200-2004, Not much. 2005-2007 Nothing.
First time I popped the hood on my 2004 Mach1 I found no distributer, no spark plugs, no spark plug wires, No coil for the distributer they didn't have. I just shut the hood.

Ain't that the truth, Im not scared of the computers, I just don't understand, I guess cause you don't have to work on them anymore, like you used to.
My 07 mRanger should be here in a couple days, I already have parts sitting on living room floor and don't have the vehicle.
18X10 and 198X8.5 Foose Nitrous (chrome) Nitto tires 315-35-18 and 255-40-18 , Ford performance 8.8 ring and pinion, 4.30, Flowmaster 3 inch in and two 2 1/4 out cat back system, Kenny bell wipple type blower with 70mm throtle body, its supposed to make 89 hp with the 3.5 inch pully, a 92 Fire-turd hood scoop. A SCT 93 octain program is on the way. Im not much of a V6 person but this 4.0 should go pretty good.
Ive got to many projects.

Ron

Cars that don't need plugs or a distributor, man what an age we live in.

Im sure there is a plug in there somewhere, Its not where it should be, (by the exhaust manifold), And there is no distributor, But there also has to be some way of fireing each cylinder. Ya got me, Again, If you don't have to work on them you don't open the hood. All I have done to a car (Ford) in the last 15 years is change the oil and filters.
I changed the break pads on the wifes car once after 36,000 miles.
