Talked to Annette last night. She knew the campout was close cause it was near Andys birthday and he loved to be with his brothers on the mountain. She is sure he will be with us in spirit this year.

What can I say Andy--I will never forget your kindness when I reached out to you for advice. I will definitely never forget you. Not only because of THE THIN BLUE LINE we both walked, but because you took the time to help me when I really needed the help of another Vietnam Vet.
Some day I hope that I might be permitted to join you, and my Best Buddy HM3 Alan R. Gerrish, when my own life has ended. I just know that you both are together in that far better place then this life. ..."couldn't drive worth a shit",... ...Paco,........... couldn't have said it better my self,..... ...in 04 after touching down in Atlanta, and "his truly" had a 'rent a wreck' Dodge I believe, I made it maybe 60 miles with him avoiding 16 different accidents by climbing through the roof, before I/we/somebody stopped at a convience store, and I TOOK THE KEYS FROM HIM FOR THE WHOLE WEEKEND",... ...He was always in pursuit,... ...

Talked with Annette last night and she seems to be doing well....considering. She wishes us all the best at the upcoming church camp revival, and agrees with me...Andy will be there. Curtis, Tom and I also took the keys from him after we got out of Atlanta.....he never drove, or walked very well, afterward.
