We may be talking about two very different conditions here.
I have been diagnosed with diabetic nephropathy (decreased kidney function)-----not neuropathy . But, if I were you I'd sure as heck ask your doctor to check your kidney function(s) and determine IF your type II diabetes couldn't be a possible cause . Higher creatinine levels, higher amounts of protein & calcium in your urine could possibly be associated with diabetes and kidney stones.

Sid, last I heard (and it has been a while) the two causes of kidney stones were gout and "I don't know."
