Leah -

I would like to know about your Teacher? He must have served in the service or lost someone dear to him in one of our conflicts. It would be more interesting to hear something about him as we may discover why he has this interest each year?

thank you to everyone who wants to help! I am unable to interview more than four, but My friends are in need of a veteran!!! I will send some of them ur email addressses so they can interview you. about my teacher, His name is Scott DeVries, and he had a father who served in the war. His father is the first one of the Freedom is Not Free page. Well, his father's memory was going bad and he was living past the date the insurance company assumed he would, so Mr. DeVries really wanted to do something for him because earlier, like 10 years ago, he promised his father he would take him to the World War II memorial after it is built. Well, when that time came, his father was too sick to fly, so Mr. DeVries came up with the interview and the online web page to preserve his memories and other veterans memories as well. he didn't want the stories to be lost. if you are still willing to help, then i will give my friends your eamil addresses so they can interview you.

no i haven't. I found it on my own. I will though because I think it's a great site to meet veterans....especially ones that are willing to get an interview for the project
