Steve,
That's nothin. You can buy fresh Florida citrus anywhere in Hawaii. Go figure!

I'd be willing to bet that almost ALL the citrus you buy in Hawaii is from FLA--HI doesn't grow any.
Do they have Mangos in FLA?

here's what the SF and theBay looked like couple days ago, just another sunset in Paradise. This is from my favorite park--Richmond has more coastline than SF

You guys are acting like this is something abnormal. Come on up and we can do a little fishing. Ice is only a couple feet thick, should get better over the next few days. Snow all week it looks like. Had a small ice storm last night, most things are covered in an inch of ice but hey tis' the season!

Default James...

...Yeah, we got mangoes. Also have passion fruit and kiwi fruit.

Your question reminded me of a song from a James Bond movie, but I can't remember which one.

Packo,
Ever heard the term "Pennsyltucky"? :-)

Dan, Hell Damn near froze over this year, eh? Too bad too, I was really rooting for those boys. They had so much heart, it was just a shame.

Oh, and Gimpy, I just went out side and pick a nice, crisp, fresh 6' icecicle off the porch! It was a beauty! There is nothing more beautiful than Delaware, yep I said Delaware in the winter-time. When the freezing rain sweeps through and turns the winter wheat fields into fields of diamonds and incases the trees so they look like crystal and sparkle in the light and crickle crack when the wind blows. Nature from the Mid-Atlantic all the way up the Nor'East is absolutely phenomenal in the winter. You can drive down the NY State Thruway and see frozen waterfalls cascading down out of solid rock walls along side the road. The Hudson river is nearly frozen from shore to shore, except for the shipping lane that the Icebreaker makes down the middle.
And in the early spring when the ice begins to break up and piles along the rocky shore of the river. The power of that lazy looking river just astounds me.

Do you have that in Florida? This is what the Snowbirds are missing when they fly south on their 737s in October every year. Yeah, its cold but for every beauty there is a price. And if I have to freeze my butt from my car to the office for a few months just so I can enjoy a nice lazy horseride in the spring, then so be it. And if we didn't have all this cold weather we wouldn't have the fantastic colors and majectic beauty of the maples in the fall. I traded life in California to enjoy each and every season and I don't miss it one little bit.

Default Was in Orlando this week

Temp was 63 but with wind chill it was 71 . Thought I would get some Avacados, they were from Dominican Republic. Saw oranges from California. Was going to buy Shrimp but it was imported from China. Andy, hold onto those thoughts.
