Talking Awright! Awright!

Here's a link to sounds from the TV shows and movies from our ancient histories. Sometimes the bits take a few tries to load up completely, but it is fun!

Looney Tunes - Andy Griffith & Barney - The Marx Brothers - and the "Who's On First?" routine by Abbott & Costello are but a few of the selections.

Have fun!!!!!!!

Who were the singing stars of "Your Hit Parade?" (This is a memory test, so let us know if ya cheat and do an internet search.)

Philly, there's a current sequel to the Amos n Andy show. It's called Philadelphia City Council. LOL

GREAT! Got it on right now while writing this. Will also do it when I get home from work.

Always loved Popeye, the original with Bluto not Brutus, and all the other basic cartoon characters, Bugs, Mickey, etc. Watched Kukla, Fran, and Olie and also that lady with "lambchop". Cant' think of her name.

Favorite programs, Inner Sactum, (with the creepy door opening), Hithcock, Honeymooners, (mom would always make popcorn for the Honeymooners), Twighlight Zone, My 3 sons, Disney on Sunday night, and my favorite of all, CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT. Believe it or not, I still have my Captain Midnight red OVALTINE hot chocolat mug. Now, what was Captain Midnights sidekick's name? What was the Scientist Name he also had working with him? Anyone remember Terry and the Pirates? How about Steve Canyon? Not from the Funny Papers but the TV shows. Have Gun Will Travel, Wanted Dead or Alive, Rin Tin Tin, Rifleman, Branded, were all favorites of mine also. The Rebel, Gunsmoke, and Rawhide not to mention Combat and Rat Patrol. Damm.....these shows are all coming back to me and I gotta get back to work. Oops, forgot Wild Bill Hickock, Hopalong Cassidy, Roy, Dale and Gene Autry, Superman, and here's one that will bring back memories, "Captain Gallant". Who else remembers him?

Captain Midnight - Was it Icky Mudd? He'd always say "that's Mudd, with two D's."

Lightbulb no one

No one mentioned Rocky and Bullwinkle? How about Johnathan Winters in anything?
One of my best young memories was watching the Mouseketeer's. Rememer suddenly realizing that some of the letters on Annette's T shirt were closer to the camera than others? How about Foreign Leigon - sort of a TV rip off of Beau Jest? Steve Allen, the first late night talk show host was good, espically when he did the Angry Reporter or The Man On The Street.

Stay healthy,
Andy

This is fantastic to see everyone sharing a part of their memories.

No one mentioned "Under Dog!". You guys have to remember the Under Dog cartoon. He came on before Rocky & Bull Winkle. By the way, no one remembered Puff n Stuff. Was that just a West Coast show?

I watch "I love Lucy" to this day. They were a funny bunch of characters. LOL!!

Bewitch was magical?

The old Popeye cartoons were entertaining. I remember asking my mom if I could eat spinach to grow muscles..LOL!!

How about "Love American Style".

Default Correct!

It was Icabod (sp?) Mudd, "with 2 D's)

Now, the scientist????

Andy, The "Foreign Legion" show you referred to was "Captain Gallant". (With Fuzzy Knight)

Plus, nobody mentioned "Ruff and Ready" the dog and cat who had adventures.(cartoon) Only one I can remember was where we were invaded from the planet "Munimula". If the name rings a bell, it's "aluminum" spelled backwards and the planet was made of metal.

As for Annette..........oh, yeah, fond memories of what happened to her sweater.

Yes Philly,I too wanted to be Marlo Thomas, just because I wanted her cool apartment- and all those cool clothes. Don't forget Dick Van Dyke- still makes my sides hurt from laughing whenever I watch it. Loved American Bandstand, Brady Bunch- always wanted a big family like that.F- Troop was pretty funny. My brother always made me watch Wild Wild West(Robert Conrad was kind of cute) As for cartoons-Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner were my favorites. I do remember Puff N Stuff- I seriously believe that show had a lot to do with LSD..........I could be wrong.
