Chris,
Just wondering if you're thinking of Johnny Horton...Battle of New Orleans...Sink the Bismarck...North to Alaska. You're right, Jimmy Dean did "Big John". Love Marty Robbins' "El Paso City" and Patsy Cline's "Crazy". Also "Crying in the Chapel". |

I love the stuff you guys are bringing up!
Chris, Look for a good, loud, metal version of "Tears of a Clown" from my band, Torn Circus (fits, don't it?) Father Packwolski, I was referring to the entire album; 21st Century Schizoid Man is the first track. FYI, Ozzy was impressed enough with the song to include it on his recent "Under Cover" CD. I should mention a couple of concerts I've attended where I literally felt time stand still: Steely Dan in '94, The Gipsy Kings on several occasions. I believe both are touring this summer.

I'm a big music person but mine differs a bit. Ya'll prob havn't heard of some of these bands. Some are hard rock and kind of not in the "popular" circle. Some of them are classics.
Highwayman - Cash, Kristoferson, Jennings and Nelson Familiar Realm - CKY The Funeral of Hearts - H.I.M. Unholy Confessions - A7X Dazed and Confused - Led Zeppelin Lots more... |
