From the time Griz and I started talking he showed a qualityI love in a man. He wasable to laugh at himself and make me laugh too.Another thing I loveis the fight he has in him. He was very sick for about a year and half asour friends know but he didn't give up. Through all that hetookcare of Kati and went to group every Tuesday.

He did it all and still does it all. She's a very active little girl. She's bright and inquistive and nothing gets past her. He's the guy that has to answer all those questions. He's the chief cook and bottle washer while meeting heremotional needs with his love and support. He meets her creative needs by encouraging and supplying her with the things she needsto excel in whatever she choose's todo.He isalways there to help her with homework. One teacher stated Griz was her best parent. And that is a fact. I couldn't say enough good thingsaboutGriz as aDad.

Hehas come down a long path and worked hardto be an overcomer both physically and emotionally. He's happy, he's sober, he's got purpose and hope in his life. It's been my joy to watch his progress for close to three and half years now.

Griz you've been a lot of things in your life, a carpenter, a fisherman, heavy equipment operator, a musician, a poet, a soldier, a lover,a hunter, a husband, a daddy, a friendand some things best left unsaid lest there be any outstanding warrantsbut one thingwe all know, youare not a coward. Youchose a path that requires the wisdom of Solomon, the patience of Job and the courage of a Samson.

I loveyou Griz and I'mhonored to have been a part of your journey.

Default Griz

A simple protocol question: if I show up at your Graduation ceremony with my kazoo, will they let me play "Pomp and Circumcision" or whatever that song is? Where's this shindig happening? Should I double my meds prior to attending the ceremony, or will "others" simply choose to not hear all those voices I hear?

You are a true leader among men, ready to stand in the breech, ready to support others, ready to show the way. May I have the distinct honor of adding your name to a very short list of my heroes?

Scouts Out!!

Griz,

Support is easy - we are always here for you. It has helped me much more than I let people know. I am really grateful for all the input and exchanges from everyone on this site.

Mending a fence or home maintenance doesn't ever end. We find that we have to make constant upgrades throughout its life. We are no different. But many who are in need plus they don't know to begin or even ask for help. This means their house begins to break down from lack of (help) or maintenance. These are the people that we all have to find and in our own little way help them work through it.

It's a site like this (with all the personnel involved) who can often times get them to open up and then particapate. This exchange then begins the healing process like it did for you and I and from many others befoer us. These find folks here are the best medicine and often times the best listeners.

Many of us have never met and we may not over our remaining lifespans. But these people that I've been in touch (here on this site) are considered good friends (to me) and I hope I've made a few along the way.

Griz - You are never alone and never will be as long as sites lke this are around and those in need.

My best to you and your family from all of us - for a job well done.
