Welcome aboard, Sweet Sue! Perhaps you, and Jane (of course) can civilize this bunch of psychos. Got to admit we are a bunch of uncouth so-and-sos..cept me of course..being a resident of flyover country.

Sue. Great to have new victims, errr, friend on the site. Welcome. Help me understand a couple of things though.
?suffer severely from the dreaded "brain fog".... but my Canadian wit & charm will get me through everything that can get tossed my way. An Irish background doesn't hurt either....?
Suffer from dreaded brain fog? Heck I thought that that was a requirement. At least it is here. Wit is also a requirement here along will the ability share the laughs.
?Thank-you so much for the warm welcome!!! Cold up here already! Going down to -14 C(7F) tonite. And we already have some snow!?
?14 C? Damn woman! You need more than a warm welcome, you need heavy socks and heavy blanket. Enough smoke going up the chimney to scare Santa away maybe. But please don?t tell us southerners ?bout your white crap on the ground. That?s why I moved down here. Only going up to 60F tomorrow. Come on down to Georgia and warm up lady.

Default SweetSue ....

Hey! Welcome to the Patriot Files. ...Add one more member to the Irish faction.

This is a great site. Haven't been here long myself. What I discovered is that it's an open forum with lot's of friendly members.

You'll find peppery dialogues affected with dangling participles and petty punctuations, tempered with lots of humor and passionate political views.

In other words, it'sthe perfect environment to grow and nurture curmudgeons.

I'll leave with a quote from the father of Curmudgeonry...

"Pessimism is only the name that men of weak nerve give to wisdom ."
MARK TWAIN

Once again, welcome.

Sue,
Don't believe anything they say...repeat...don't believe 'em. And don't get in a conversation. They'll drop you in a nanosecond for a conversation on hunting or fishing. Remember, they are men, they are from Mars. Also, they truly are curmudgeons. I decided I like the term "labyrinthine" better, and will gladly relinquish the curmudgeoness title.
Also, just so you know who you're dealing with, not many of them knew about spitting things back out that taste bad. Like turnips.
I'll buy you a drink when you get to the saloon.
Jane

Watch outguy's! Looks like there's alabyrinthian uprising in the wind. Can't trust those Buffalo Gal's. Next thing ya know, they'll be fighting for equal grouching rights.

I don't want equal grouching rights. That would mean I'd have to give some up.

Ok, but remember the labyrinthine philosophy is derived from the term
labyrinth and it's easy to get cornered in one of those.

But on the other hand the definition oflabyrinth is.... an intricate network of pathways or passageways intended to confuse the person that navigates it.

And in the context of men-women relationships that may have some merit considering how little we men know about women. Maybe there's something to that Mars-Venus thing after all. :re:
