When ?George Bush The Second? vowed an open-ended war against terrorism, who could have possibly guessed that this conflict might still be in progress, far into the unforseeable future? In an age, perhaps, when an elderly ?Buck Rogers? is still crossing swords with ?Ming The Merciless!? Hell, when we run out of opponents in the Middle
East, there is always Europe and Asia. ?Hey, are there any terrorist groups in the Antarctic - If so, look out, we just may soon be coming for you too?!? Hey man, don?t mess with the police forces of the United Nations (pun intended!!)

OK, enough levity and jocularity for now! With Afghanistan dampened with the red juices of mankind, the job that was begun in Iraq in 1991, may soon be embroiled in Round II of ?As The Oasis Burns!??

Who was it that put on the brakes some ten years ago, just when we were on the verge of ?Frying The Freak of Baghdad (Hussein)? Was it not daddy who pulled the Coalition up short, after a brilliant and heroic campaign by the Allies - OOPS!? And do you really think that ?George The Elder? has no voice in current ?White House Politics!? Hell, cuffing the ears of that ?Devil Of The Dunes (Hussein again)? back in 91?, made George I a national hero, but alas, fame was indeed fleeting!

?Could it be that our current President is emulating Dear Old Dad - COULD BE?!?

If this is indeed the case, and there are inherent dangers in any scenario, then I hope that the current Preesident at least finishes what he starts (Sorry Dad)! I further hope that the
hurting U.S. veterans who return from the next round of conflict, are not gifted with the same crap that has been shoveled upon the Gulf War Illness victims of the Bush Families first foray into the desert! How about it Mr. Bush, Mr. Principi, Mr. McClain and all points west - will these troopers too have to fight again, not against a visible foe, but rather against the invisible, back-room maneuvering of the system in order to attain painfully earned benefits? Or will you again, promise them fair treatment and deliver
naught but lies and double-crosses!

?A liar is, after all, one of the most despicable of earthly creatures, and one can not excuse away a wantonly immoral act by attempting to tie it to some (supposedly) higher purpose!?
