Before I get started today, let me relate the news as concerns my own case for benefits. As I said previously, I have been at this for the better part of 14 years, and the incident in question occurred almost 42 years ago at the now defunct Fort Ord, California.

After the VA attempted to ambush my appeal through a statute of limitations (120 Days), a time in which I was gifted with outright lies as to the status of my claim (ie: I was told by a once trusted individual within the VA Hierarchy that my case had indeed been filed in a timely manner by him, and I even have materials to prove this out), I received a letter today denying the facts from the main-man himself! To infuriate matters even more, however, one of the brief?s authors was a gent who had complete knowledge of my case, having been gifted with my files to examine better than two years back, when he was in private practice (Law) here in the San Diego area! This gent never returned those files to me after he declined to handle my case, and lo and behold, that gent is now the ?Chief Council for the VA?, and also one of the inner-sanctum members who sent me ?The Appellee?s Response To Court Order!? (Do I smell a little "Conflict of Interest" here perhaps?)

Getting back to this experimentation that many still seek to expunge from our historical memory (along with it?s hapless victims), here is yet another damning little tidbit that proves that this experimentation, a violation of Chief of Staff Memorandum 385, as well as the Church Senate Committee findings, and DAIG-IN 21-75, was indeed Army wide!

Selection Of Volunteers- (Remember now, many of these experimentees were not volunteers at all, and many more still don?t know what was done to them!?)

?Approximately 10 (probably more?) volunteers were selected from the 300 available volunteers in the SIXTH ARMY AREA. They were selected on the basis of a personal history questionnaire and evaluation of ?Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory
Tests!? Complete medical evaluations to include CBC, ECG, EEG, Chest X-rays, Liver and Kidney Function Tests and Psychological Interviews, were (supposedly) conducted etc, etc....??

?Volunteers received numerous incentives, including weekly three day passes, TDY Payment, etc. Of the ten who were selected, 8 were exposed to the agent (LSD)?

This particular little gem (experiment) was called ?PROJECT DORK!? I know not who dreamed up this demeaning little name, but it certainly shows his (or her) contempt for these Army test subjects! (opinion)
