Default Veterans Day

All of you that got the VFW magazine have seen this, if you have not, it is Soldiers of the 101st Airborne at Kandahar Afghanistan.
They sure look young now days don't they.
God bless them, God bless the men who went before us, God bless you, and God bless America on this Veterans Day.

Without clearly defined battle grounds and enemies, its a whole new way of defending this nation.
The eagle must stay alert whether it be the morning star or evening star, always on the point.

You must be one he!! of an old soldier! The last time I saw a "Toilet Seat" was on the left sleeve of my PSG in 1958. He was a WWII Vet and had been in a unit that was awarded two presidential unit citations. For all you "Kids" out there. The OD Wreath with the 2 in the center under bbeil's name indicates 2 awards of the presidential unit citation, my guess one for WWII and one for Korea. Wasn't till the Vietnamn War that it became a purple ribbon in a gold border. I once wore the Presidential Unit Citation with 3 oak leaves when I was with SF but I can only wear a Valorus Unit Award as a personal decoration along with a Meritorius Unit Award and a Joint Meritorius Unit Award. Had to lose the Presidential Unit Citation when I retired because I wasn't with the unit for the actions that caused the awards.
