To remove them would cause much more harm than good. Any type of help we can get from other drivers and their intent will definitely bring about more safety. I live 1/2 block from a four way stop. We occassionally have a fender bender but we've only had one major accident and that was because someone ran a stop sign. If everyone comes to a stop at a four way stop even if there is confusion as to who is to go first if an accident occurrs it usually is a minor fender bender because its hard to develop much speed in 50 or 60 feet. Yes, Ron you are correct there are foolish drivers out there that occassionally do stupid things but to make things worse by eliminating a real help like the front turn signals would not be a wise decision under any circumstance.
