Looks as if we may have crossed paths. At a time I did a lot of work on paper mill disk pulp grinders, especially those made by Sprout-Brower but others as well.
My area of interest was grinding plate positioning and efforts to avoid plate clash and thus prolong grinding plate life. In this project I passed through Pennsylvania, Georgia, the Pacific Northwest and Louisiana. Scary, scary machines for sure but infinitely better than the former ?black liquor? soaking ponds. As well, I assisted on paper mill rolling equipment study and that was extremely interesting.
These days, now that I?m not so brave anymore, I mostly hang out with Grid turbo-generator sets but have worked some combined cycle/co-generation power generation sets in paper plants, etc.
Congratulations on your selection as Patriot of the Month.
