Phillip was awarded an ARCOM with V device for defusing an IED while under accurate small arms fire. I wrote him yesterday and thanked him for paying the dues for my familys freedom and to knock off the hero stuff and keep his ass under cover from now on. Thank God for people like Philip

After meeting that fine man and his family on the Mtn, this comes as no surprise to me. We are ALL proud of him and all his brothers and sisters who have the guts to stand in the door!

Didn't want to seem to brag
But since you asked.
Phillip called last week and told me he had been awarded the ARCOM with V for disarming a roadside bomb while under direct sniper fire. He said it was a little distracting, it seems that the bad guys have put a $25,000.00 bounty on the EOD guys because they have been disarming so much of their stuff. He said if he had a red sash around his waist when in dress uniform he would look like a mexican general. He now has 20 ribbons, US and Belgian jump wings, German schutzenure (sp). and has Forign service in Vietnam, Laos, Korea, Italy, Bosnia, Kosovo, Zaire and Uganda, North Korea and China. N. Korea and China were EOD security detail for Secetary of State Albright. Has served twice with the secret service on the presidential security detail.

Africa tours were
when he was with the 325/82nd airborne and they were deployed to secure US medical and engineer uints in 93 when the Tutsis and Hutus were hacking each other up. Additionally he made the 50th anniversary parachute jump on Normandy in 94.
