Artificial Stimuli?
Spin doctoring makes for great press but does little else to resolve real problems! And when truth gets lost amidst the clutter of political hype, it is always our own people who take it upon the chin!
Once upon a time, in a land that now seems far, far away - relative honesty was the order of the day. The blessed virtue of truth, now practically extinct however, carried us through wars, depressions, civil emergency, and even through political elections. “Alas, that was then, and this is now!” The “I can not tell a lie” mindset of men like George Washington, however, has been almost totally replaced by that which our Founding Fathers found repugnant. And many a liar, more often than not, has usurped the political station of “That One Honest Man“, if in fact, such an animal yet exists! What is far worse, however, is that most who reside in the United States these days, legally or not, genuinely embrace liars from all political factions. In fact, many hold these elected representatives to be more god than peer, and more is the shame! If times get rough, some of our lofty leaders merely resort to artificial stimuli. When international disagreements take place, even those that are contrived in some cases, the first cry out of a few politicos is “WAR!” And when caught in an outright lie, the tears flow and the blame is passed off to whom ever is the closest at hand. “Gee, I hope that these guy’s own mother are not standing next to them at that time?” What ever happened to those good old days when a man’s word was his bond, and when the only title a person needed was that of “Proud American?” VERITAS (Truth)
