I've been having the damndest time trying to copy pictures to this forum. What's the best type (JPEG, TNG, TIFF, etc.) to use?

I temp store them on my desktop then when you want to post them, click on reply. then click on browse, then select desktop then select the pic.

I tried that except I put them in "My Pictures". Will putting them on the Desktop make a difference?

I too have this same problem. What happens to me is that I save everything as a pdf or jpg and it seems the only thing I can attach - is a link - so I too have a problem attaching a picture when I want try to.

Ron is good at this maybe he will come line and explain.

when you try to post on the PF are you clicking on the "post reply" button at the bottom of the thread?

JEPG will save to my pictures in windows 95-98 0r XP
and thats the file you should be saving pictures as.
It makes no difference where you save them as long as you know where to get them.
The biggest problem I see with people and there pictures is there camera settings. Your camera should be set at it lowest setting , size wise. This would be E-mail on most new cameras. This setting lets you download a picture that will be easy to put on a Patriot file post.

Although , If you want to print a picture in a 8X10 format, your camera should be set at its highest level. Your camera will print a picture (or save a picture) in what ever pixel your camera is, it just will print a picture better if its in its largest size and sized down.
Example;
If your camera is a 4 meg digital camera, The picture quality will be 4 meg if you have it on it lowest size or its highest size. Putting it on its lowest size for patriot files makes the picture small when it downloads.

If anyone has a problem with downloading a picture just e-mail me and I will walk you threw it.
