![]() The Big Boys RULE (as always)
by N.R. Filidei (September 27, 2005) Regarding matters of importance, it would truly be wise of all Americans heeding that old quip: "Believe nothing you hear and only half of what seen", and especially when emanating from The Big Boys and/or politicians, beaurocrats, corporate leaders, and their largely supportive and validating mainstream press/media. Such words are wiser, more profound and relevant for The American Public of TODAY,...than ever before, since more purposefully people deceiving and manipulating goes on nowadays,...than ever before. After all, the historical, typical and often echoed excuses given: "We The (Schnooks)" and/or usually duped American Taxpayer/Consumer, rarely (if ever?) change. Plus, the excuses given for our seemingly never ending and quite grandeos or large scale profiteerings from OUR natural resources,...are always quite suspect at best (if being kind). Such actually being Quite Criminal During Wartime and Natural Disasters,...if not so kindly predisposed. Regardless, the following are some important questions worth asking by We Politically-Corrected or Free To Do As Told Americans, regarding our perpetual rip-offs by The Big Boys at whim (even during wartime and natural disasters). 1. How can Fellow Americans keep deceivingly excusing basically identical and manipulated pricings of needed Fuels and Utilities, as due: "Supply & Demand"? Isn't America still one of the major Oil PRODUCERS, Oil REFINERS and Oil EXPORTERS in The World? Is such no longer true? 2. Why doesn't the obviously contrived: "Supply & Demand" and greatly manipulated World Market Price of Oil similarly effect Venezuela, another major oil producer, refiner and exporter? Fairly recently it was reported that Venezuela sells its oil for $40 a barrel to its Carribean and South American friends and neighbors. Would that America's Big Boys were as magnanimous and concerned about We Americans and The American Economy AS WELL & INSTEAD? 3. It should also be questioned where or from whom such often repeated figures like: "America having 10% of world's population, uses 25% of world's oil" came from? Might prove interesting? Might even prove more interesting knowing what percentage of The World's Population resides in Europe, and what percentage of world's oil is consumed by Europe? Don't you think? 4. Last but not least (from me), since no doubt volumes could be questioned of The Big Boys about why they all in concert, daily and quite despicably do what they do,...answer me this. How come every 10-15 or so years or whenever needed, The Comparison Charts of European Gasoline Prices at the pump are pulled out and dusted-off, specifically for pacifying We Normally Duped American Drivers into believing that our gasoline prices are so much lower than Europe's? Such has to be my all-time favorite Big Boy Ploy, Bull, Deceit,...EVER! Haven't seen such charts surface lately? Maybe the spread no longer big enough to appease anyone here in America? Still, comparing America's fuel pricings at the pump or at home to Europe's ANYTIME, is actually quite duplicitous and quite asinine (quite intelligence insulting also),...even by typically devious and unethical political standards. For about a-half-century European gasoline and diesel prices have been nationalized and/or socialistically priced, much like America has and does price alcohol and tobacco products. In essence, basically 1 part of the selling price goes to manufacturers, distributors and retailers, and 3 to 4 parts of the selling price goes to governments (States & Federal). Some States like New Jersey are much greedier about such, than others. Whatever, governments are truly great businesses to be into. Make about 10X the profit that manufacturers, distrubutors and retailers of a product normally do,...and at NO COST & EXPENSE whatsoever. Beautiful. Old P.T. Barnum would truly be proud of such grand scale entrepreneurs. Hey,...think me a little tipsey or just-blowin-smoke?? Well, not so Fellow Perpetual Screwees by The Big Boys. Though, and in fairness, a few good stiff drinks and nice Cuban Cigar to ease the pain of what such cavalier lords keep perpetually putting We Peasants through,...most certainly couldn't hurt. Hopefully, many greeds will have been satisfied at this juncture, and America's Big Boys won't start getting jealous of how much better Europe's Big Boys are and have been doing with gasoline? If that green-eyed jealousy monster surfaces here in America,...hang on to your hats (actually wallets). The current or about $3.00 per gallon rip-off will seem like chump-change. If gasoline is priced socialistically and/or like Europeans do or how America socialistically prices alcohol and tobacco products,...watch-out. About $12 or $15 per gallon will be the norm. Garage that ORV and dust-off that old bike,...Fellow Perpetual Big Boy: "Marks". The End Neil ![]() ![]() |
