Angry Corporate Fraud Law weakened

on the same day it was signed into law in a White House ceremony. Late in the day Bush spokesman issued a statement that weakened the "whistle-blower" protection provision of the law. The provision was to protect whistle-blowers who present evidence of fraud. The white house said the law would only protect those w-b's from company retaliation"only" if they provided information to Congress in the course of an investigation. It will not protect them if they provide evidence of fraud to individuial lawmakers, their aides or while no investigation is underway. So if you bring proof of criminal wrongdoing to light before the Congress knows of it you can be totally screwed by your company. This is only the latest example of the Bullshit that the shows the big corporations have the politicians by the short hairs and have us the PEOPLE bent over and the Gaint Size tube of K-Y jelly ready to use.
