(AP:NEW YORK) Defense contractor L-3 Communications said Thursday it was awarded a five-year $440 million contract to maintain U.S. Army aircraft. L-3 will be responsible for a fleet of approximately 190 C-12, RC-12 and UC-35 aircraft. With options, the contract could exceed $440 million.
