(EXCERPT) Related News » • US warns of 'increased security concerns' in Laos HANOI : The remains of more than 200 Vietnamese soldiers killed in Laos during the Vietnam War have been brought home and buried with full military honours, the army said. The decomposed bodies of 162 soldiers, who were repatriated to Vietnam in November last year, were laid to rest at the Viet-Lao Friendship cemetery on Saturday in the central province of Nghe An, the military command there said. Forty-five sets of remains were also buried Sunday at the Ba Doc cemetery in the central Quang Binh province after a state funeral. As many as 2,000 soldiers killed in Laos have been repatriated to Vietnam since the end of the Indochina conflict in 1975, according to state media.
