FDA - VA?

With all Hell breaking lose over the [reportedly] unsafe drugs that have been dumped upon the American consumer, and the resulting [life-threatening] ailments that have resulted in some cases, many are beginning to wonder if some cures are worse than the diseases themselves!

I am sure that most of you have seen those commercials that tout new, miracle cures for a variety of diseases. I am just as sure that many of you all have heard the addendums after these drug commercials that seem to go forever about the potentially harmful [and sometimes deadly] side effects from taking some medications!

What I heard today was that big money and the overly powerful, may be at least partially at fault for rushing some dangerous drugs through the approval process. It would also seem that the FDA was more than a bit reluctant to bang heads with some giant drug manufacturers.

Of course it is only my opinion, but the power of some of these big business- drug corporations, when pointed at the FDA, kind or reminds me of the VA in some aspects. They [VA] too [again in my opinion], often genuflect before the might of the vested, the rich, the powerful and the well connected. And making waves, even at the expense of someone else?s health or life [in some quarters], is frowned upon by the interconnected, and even falsification, intimidation, and cronyism, have been utilized to beat down the victims [many of them veterans] in far too many cases!!
