Unhappy Alzheimers

Well....one of my grandpa's doctors thinks my grandpa has it. They are going to do a doppler study/test and we will know more from there.

Both my other grandparents from my fathers side had this...sure was praying he didn't have it but he has all the signs.

Don't know if this is the right place but could you please pray for Alfred?

Melody;
My prayers are also for you and yours. I hear a cure for Alzheimers is in the making at this time. I'll pray that this is so also.
Hang in there and GOD's speed.

Travis

Unhappy

Be brave and supportive for your grandpa Melody. It might be tough but you can do it. My Dad had Alzheimers for about 8 years before he passed on. As odd as it sounds, those were good years for me. I spent a lot of time with him and even though he forgot my name, near the end, he gave me a smile everytime I visited him and he called me "Big Guy". It may not appear so, but down deep I was convinced he still knew who I was. We took long walks by a duck pond together and he loved to watch children play. Those were peaceful times.

My thoughts are with you.

Bill

Thanks everyone...it means alot to my family and me. He is scared but mainly he just doesn't want to "lose it" as he puts it. He is one tough ol stubborn mule...we had the hardest time getting him to the doctor in the first place.
