In a word - ?DISGUSTING!?

Several times now, I have heard this conflict in Iraq referred to as a ?Political War!? Most wars are, at least in part, political and financial in nature! Of course, and far more importantly, wars are fought over terrain, ideology and people!

This war in the Gulf was unavoidable! If it were not being fought today, then some day in the near future it would have to be! It is a classic case of a miserable little cuss (Saddam), not to different from Hitler (except for girth and geography), who decided that he wanted it all!

But Hussein and his cohorts in crime are not alone when it comes to greed, smoke rings and the lust for power and all that it encompasses! There are people everywhere (an I do mean everywhere) who grab the beast by the neck and squeeze it for all that it is worth, for a wide range of self-motivations!

?Maybe it doesn?t bother some of you, but there are a few things about this conflict that irk my ass!?

First of all, I detest the fact that those little stock market banners keep rolling along the bottom of the tube, while above them, scenes of war and destruction are emblazoned in all of their stark reality! Does this not portray the mindset of some that this war is a war of big oil finance, present and future?

I also detest these commentators who spend half the news hour, not relating what is going on the battlefield, or the human factors of war, but rather how each and every move, advance or drawback, has effected their dividends! The biggest dividend of the guys and gals on the front lines, however, is their lives, and one of our nation's biggest plus factors is the ?Defeat of Terrorism!?

Secondly are the ego trips of those pampered prima news donnas in front of the cameras on both sides. Makeup, rehearsals, ratings and personal image seem to mean more to these clowns than the fire and brimstone that they have attached themselves to!

Next are the lies and electioneering that is taking place on both sides of the aisle, and this at a time when our kids are bleeding and dying for a cause that is far removed from Wall Street or the inner sanctums of vested political wheeling and dealing! ?Wars are won with unity and not wrangling and domestic one-upsmanship!?

Next in line are these G-D Experts, many of whom don?t seem to know their asses from a whole in the ground! Some of this army of know-it-alls, are armed with naught but bull sit, connections, past glories and a hefty (undeserved) pay check. The lust to keep their names in front of the public is their chief motivating factor (opinion)!

And lastly, there are the ?Ever-Present Protesters!? The boys and girls with the terminal case of social hemorrhoids! ?It?s too hot, it?s too cold, it?s too wet, it?s to dry, the entrails are in the wrong order, or the moon is in the wrong phase!? There is (and will always be) something for these backstreet warriors to bitch about!

Hey, do you want the realities? ?People are dying, half the world hates our guts by virtue of jealousy or greed, many politicians could give a shit less what the catalyst may be, as long as the end result benefits them and theirs, and to far too many, it is all a great big game of power and position - ?AND THIS IS DEAD WRONG!!?

Many decried this conflict from the onset for one reason or another, but now this is all academic. Like it or not, we (each and every one of us) are in it to the end! The time for argument and debate have passed and now is the time for resolve, support, guts, and most of all - UNITY OF CAUSE!

If we must argue, bitch, politically threaten, or run our smart mouths in a fashion that is harmful to our nation or potentially lethal to our troops, them keep a lid on it until the objectives are secure!

If an opposing group of politicos are at each other?s throats, they merely cool down, slug down a fifth of the best, bang the old secretary, and then sleep it off, usually forgetting what in the hell they were pissed off at to begin with! The stench of their political farts, however, usually cost American lives, either on the battlefield or on American Streets, by virtue of many a bad decision in peace or in war!

To hell with the next elections for now! To hell with those cronies who wallow around in those disgusting and odiferous pork barrels. To hell with the greedy among big business who build for self ($$) and not for the common good, especially in time of war! And most of all, to hell with those who amass fortunes and fame alone from the blood of patriots! ?In war, we either all benefit and survive (as well our ideology), or we all perish a tiny pieces, at a time!

Show our support for our troops and out nation, 24/7! Hell it might become a habit, and who knows, you may even like it! ?It is, after all, the noble and right thing to do!?

?THIS IS OUR NATION - MANY ARE BLEEDING FOR IT!, AND WE MUST FOR THE SAKE OF ALL - LOVE IT, EVEN BEFORE OURSELVES!!?

This is the example being set by American and Coalition troops in the field, should we be doing any less in our own small way?!

Regardless, that profundity brings me to what I think must be wrong with some actually WELL-MEANING (there must be some?) protestors. I think such merely don't understand or just refuse to understand the difference between the words: "To Dissent" or "To Subvert",...or that America's Constitution was penned to cover only The American Citizenry, AND NOT EVERYONE ELSE ON EARTH. This is not Hong Kong,...YET.
