So why is it that “Our Magnificent Nation” always seems to react - only after we are against the ropes – financially and/or militarily? And just how often do we think that we can get away with being retroactive, instead of eternally proactive? “We are not invulnerable you know, and like the magnificent former empires of yore - only hope, and not second chances, ever springs eternal?” “Now - just look around you for a moment?” Do you see your kids and your grandkids at play, or your parents sitting in relative safety - within a comfortable old lounge chair, relaxing and watching their favorite shows upon the tube? Well, just ask yourself this question – how secure and how comfortable do you suppose your grandparents felt on December 6, 1941, or how secure were your great grandparents, on say – 27 July 1914, the days that fell just before we went to war in Europe - and elsewhere? Now rumor has it that we knew, or at least suspected, what was coming, but we closed our eyes to the dangers, that existed before the shells began to fly? “And there-in resides the true danger of it all!” “So now let me ask you this one (last) simple question?” Just how long do you think we will be able to get away with being reactionaries, and not being proactive? Or do you really believe that “Our Great Nation” will always be able to rise from our backs, rebuild the damages of war, and then carry on like nothing happened at all? And if this is truly your mindset - then maybe you had better pick up “A World-History Book”, and then decide for yourself if we are currently making some of the very same mistakes that proved to be nearly fatal for humanity in times past? “And May God Continue to Bless and to protect the United States of America” and may our leadership finally come to the realization that: Our Freedoms Will Only Remain Secure, For As Long As We Keep Our Eyes Wide Open And Our Mighty Fists Clenched!! For peace is a truly magnificent concept, but it can only be secured with a strong right arm, a firm resolve, eternal guts and total preparedness – and so it is, and thus it has always been! “But then, mankind has always known, but seldom adhered to - this rock-solid and eternal axiom of truth!!” So In short – let me say this again: “Always Speak Softly, But Carry A Big Stick!!” (Teddy Roosevelt - Rough Rider & Twenty-Sixth President of The U.S. A.) “Truth will ultimately prevail where pains is taken to bring it to light!” (George Washington) Hardcore
