Although the official dates are March 3-22. The thing starts way before that. In Feb. there
are the trail rides. 13 different trails lead cattlemen to the stock yards in Houston from all over the US. Each of these trails gets revisited each year by folks on horse back and in covered wagon for a few weeks, camping out along the trail arriving at The Astrodome in past, Now Reliant center, next to the Astrodome, Feb 26th is the BBQ contest judging and the 27th is Go Texan Day.
The entertainment starts on the 3rd of March
I will be there on the 13th and the 22, Tolby and ZZ.
