Default foreign and domestic autos

Somebody did a study on just what it takes to be a domesitic auto in the US. It seems that the study wanted the auto to be 70% made in USA and be built in USA.
A domestic auto was some Toyota and foreign autos were the Mustang and the Saburbin. Now I don't know what star ship this guy just got off of but a Ford Mustang and a Chevy Saburbin somehow are foreign and A Toyota is domestic? Anyone see anything wrong with this picture.
GM is the WORLDS biggest auto maker and Ford is a close 2nd, These compainies have plants all over the world, The GM plant in Japan makes armrest, that don't mean it isn't GM, The Ford plant in Austrailia or Canada Makes engines, that don't mean there not Ford. Now he may have had an argument if the company that was makeing the part was not part of GM or Ford , but neither company buys parts from a third party and puts that part on a GM or Ford.
