Bill Melvin (Griz) Born and raised in Taxachusetts.Joined the Army in 1965.Basic:Ft Jackson,S.C.,AIT:Ft Leonard Wood,Mo. Stationed in Europe,which I knew was too good to be true,and sure enough,the first thing I ever heard about a troop levy for Vietnam,my name was at the top of the list.Ft.Stewart,Ga.to learn how to run a Cat in the swamps and off we went.Zone C ,111 corp,Iron Triangle AO....Became civilian 1968.Roamed the country til about `75,when I ended up here in Wa.State where I`ve made my mark as a builder,logger,fisherman.I`m now unemployed or retired,or disabled.(Depends on who I`m talking to) Actually I`m 100% total and permanent for PTSD.Have a 8 yr.old daughter,Kati,who is the light of my life,and the reason that I`m still here.I been married as long as most of you guys....it`s just that I need to take the conglomerate of 5 marriages.
