Tuesday last, the 19th, I was the county election judge at the early voting site for Hays County. We had 1126 folks vote, many more than was anticipated, and the wait-time was from 30-60 minutes. Early voting will occur again this Saturday, and the following Tuesday.
There were only 2 provisional ballots cast out of the entire batch, a rather phenomenal percentage, all things considered. We require some distinct form of ID, and absent that, you get escorted to the door.
Predictions are more heavy voter turnout for the early voting days, and I can only hope that other areas of the country are conducting as clean a vote as we are here!
