I only had to pack one a few times..since I was in the mech-inf.

What did your usual rucksack contain for a hump in the bush ?

Would you pack differently for a longer mission in the bush ? If so, how ?

How long did it take the FNGs to catch on to packing it right ?

Any mistakes the FNGs usually made ?

Any tricks that the old-timers learned the hard way ?

Was there anyone who always seemed to be short some items ?

Were there some items that were prized, but difficult to take ?

Did you guys hump 81MM rounds, LAWS, WP grenades, CS grenades, extra M79 rounds, or other bulky items ?

Did you take clean water or drop tablets in stream water most of the time ?

Ever get caught in the lurch after supplies ran short and have to live off the land ?

What was a standard LRRP or SF rucksack like ?

Did you get SP packs in the bush ? If so, what did you do with all the loot ?

As Andy will attest, our packing the M113 ( APC ) was simple..just fill it up to the top...never was able to though....lol
