Mothers brought them into this world,
with tearing pain and instant love.
Mothers prayed for long life and health,
and for guidance from God above.
Each and every one a Mother’s son.
Mothers nursed and blessed them,
gave them part of their own souls.
Raised them with pride and hope,
full of dreams and lofty goals.
Each and every one a loving Mother’s son.
Mothers gave them strong names- Paul and John,
Tony, Juan, Richard, Lamar, David, Bill, Ed, or Ron.
Other names they earned- Soldier, Warrior, Seaman,
Hero, Sarge, Captain, Medic, Grunt, Pilot, Airman.
Each and every one a proud Mother’s son.
Across a field march names of men, common threads
run through them.
They all responded to the call of Americas anthem.
Some were only half grown,
others with children of their own.
Each and every one a grieving Mother’s son.
These names are etched, forever to be known,
in memories of all who loved them,
and on markers made of stone.
When we see these names on memorials and crosses,
we must realize and remember,
Each and every one were a mother’s losses.
And each and every one a Mother’s son.

Sure! I have a friend working on some music to go with it, and he thinks it should be recited as a poem with back ground music, what do you think?
ABSOLUTELY! Then you can make a youtube video that will go viral. J
