I agree about not wanting that to happen , but what I wrote has been theorized by them College think tanks as a what If scenario. After the great Court case that affirmed GWB as president by his electoral votes to Gore's dismay. A group of mad Northeastern Democrats in the so called Blue States were actually contemplating session. Others of that group were considering moving to Canada. That short period was the closest in 150 years of another group leaving the union, but unlike the CSA any body today trying to leave the Union would be unconstitutional because of the 13th and 14th amendment clauses.
