National Guard troops deploy from Auburn to Hudson Valley to Prepare for Hurricane Ir
 

Approximately 100 New York Army National Guard soldiers will deploy from the Auburn Armory to Camp Smith, just north of Peekskill in the Hudson Valley at the direction of Governor Andrew Cuomo in order to be in place to aid local authorities on Long Island following the land fall of Hurricane Irene. Members of the media are invited to cover the departure of this task force.
