What a butt kicker...
Like 44 dead as of 8:15....maybe more to be found.
All of y'all keep your eyes open and the weather radio on! Stay safe, Pack |
It was a hell of a night here in Memphis. We have a veteran weather man here on local Channel 5 TV named Dave Brown. Early on, they handed him a note on air and he read it and it said they had issued a "Tornado Emergency". He said in 35 years he had never heard of that. I recorded most of the early Doppler part of all of this. At one point there were at least 10 huge spinning indicators on it. Both my sons stayed at work long past when they should have gotten off. One of them saw the green sky that mean that tornadoes are nearby....We are truly blessed that the storms didn't devastate this area. My ex-wife could see one of the tornadoes and descried it to me on the phone..
We are all OK. Most of the damage seemed to be in the southeast Memphis area. These 50 - 60 degree temperature swings this time of year are truly dangerous. May God Bless, Larry |
You never outgrow your need for bunkers!!
