N.O. Mayor comes to Houston
Yesterday (Sunday) May Nagin of New Orleans came to Houston and talked with evacuees of NO. he said
"New Orleans Mayor C. Ray Nagin told Hurricane Katrina evacuees gathered at a Fifth Ward church Sunday that he's optimistic his city would see a rebirth, and he urged them to speak out about their frustrations with the recovery effort. Speaking to a few hundred of the estimated 150,000 evacuees in the Houston area, Nagin said the devastating storm that displaced thousands might ultimately have a cleansing effect on the flood-ravaged city. "Everything that you didn't like about New Orleans, let's get rid of it. Everything that you liked about New Orleans, let's enhance it. Everything you dreamed about and wished New Orleans had, let's make it happen," Nagin told the crowd gathered at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church." He was talking to a crowd that just do not understand the area that they left. Or just were afraid to say anything outloaud. I would have had a couple question for the Mayor. 1. what has the city done with the 5 hazarous waste super fund sights that were flooded? 2. What happens if next year a nother hurican hits NO, 3. Why is the city 200 million in the Red. Ron |
Scratch the itch, and methinks you'll find that Hiz Disappearing Honor is doing some serious campaigning for re-election. With many of the Democrat voters now scattered all over, Nagin has to hustle votes from the refugees in order to stay in power. Naturally, he's trying to blame somebody else for the failure on his part.
