A WWII Veteran
1 Attachment(s)
My grandpa served in WWII. He was in Africa and Italy. He served in the 757th Tank Battalion and was a SGT by the time he left.
He was hurt multipule times and his body still holds the scars. He had his neck badly hurt twice(can't even turn it sideways hardly at all, multipule surgurys) and barely has any hearing left in both ears(was in a tank and once a tank was blown up under him, he had the habbit of riding on the top of a tank rather than inside....the rest of the tank cres were killed.) He is one of many and they are leaving us faster and faster, honor them while you can. |
God bless your Grampa and may his days be pleasant and may he enjoy life to the fullest :a:

Thanks for sharing that info with us. I too am very proud of my dad's service to his country. My father landed in North Africa in 1943 and he too like your dad served in Italy. That was a really tough row and the more I discover, the more impressed I am with what the odds were and what they overcame. If you are so inclined, stop by our site and feel free to post to our forum. I not only have a place for the VI Corps Engineers, but also anyone who wants to share a story regarding their tour of duty in WWII. :a: |
