Turkish/Soviet Connection?
Back during the last moments of World War II, the Soviets belatedly entered the war against Japan, a nation that some four decades earlier had kicked the ?Big Bad Bear?s Backside? in the ?Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905)!?
As a result of the Soviet?s last minute change of heart, they (REDS) took over Japanese Territory, especially one northern island, and held onto it for decades to follow! Now Turkey, also entering the fray at the very last moment, if but ever so minutely (Flyovers and now Convoy Duties), has also leaped to the diner table! They (Turkey) however, is not alone in this ?Hey, I Want Mine Too? attitude, as the UN and it?s inflamed utters (Mainly France and Germany), have also made demands on a ?Post Gulf War II? Iraqi economy! Even if there is no ?Umbilical Connection? between the Turkish actions of today and the Soviet turnabout of over a half century past, it is disheartening indeed to see that some things never seem to change! ?Ah, Blessed Diplomacy - International Ass Kissing By Any Other Name!?? VERITAS :d: |
