Our local paper picked up a story from the AP about a Navy vet in Medford, OR. A 75 year-old Navy vet was in front of a supermarket collecting donations for DAV. A 36 year-old man snatched his collection can and ran. The old vet caught up with him on the other side of the parking lot and whacked him with his cane through the open window of his truck. The cane fell inside, so he opened the door, retrieved the cane, and whacked him again! After a third whack, the man dropped the collection can and sped away. Passers-by followed and called police.
What a man!

I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia and had the privilege of meeting Rudy. My wife got his autograph when he was at the NEX for a booksigning, I have it on my wall.
