Coast Guard searching for missing swimmer near St. Simons Island, Ga.
 

BRUNSWICK, Ga., - The Coast Guard and Georgia Department of Natural Resources are searching for a missing swimmer near East Beach on St. Simons Island, Ga.

Missing is 14-year-old female last seen wearing a white shirt.

The Coast Guard was notified at approximately 4:35 p.m. Saturday that a 14-year-old female went missing after swimming approximately 100-yards from the beach. A Coast Guard Air Station Savannah HH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew, a Coast Guard Station Brunswick 25-foot rescue boat crew and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources are searching.
