M-dude,....

I can't take any article serious that labels both Social Security & Medicare as: "BENEFITS",
since just not true & absolutely absurd.

Social Security and/or F.I.C.A accounts are paid into for a lifetime (1/2 Worker-1/2 Employee).

Medicare premiums are paid for monthly by retirees.

"BENEFITS" are ALWAYS PAID FOR from U.S. Taxes Collected & used for Medicaid, Welfare,
Government Pensions, housing, schooling, medical & prisons for Illegal Aliens, just to mention
a few of THE MANY such: "Bennies" doled-out by the extremely generous with U.S. People's
Money rulers. Some such are actually warranted, some certainly are not, & some...eh?

Our paychecks have Social Security Tax withheld and Medicare tax withheld.

When we all retire, we still pay medicare premiums and get a secondary insurance to make it possible to survive a relatively minor medical issue.

Even if you are like Darrel & were promised free health care for life when you enlisted if you served 20 years, you still pay.

Darrel put in the 20 years. We both pay into Medicare. We pay a premium for TriCare Prime (deducted from his retirement pay) (so we (theoretically) pay a co-pay instead of a percentage for treatment). We get to argue with 2 insurance companies (even when treatment is pre-authorized) should we get company paid insurance.

When we retire, we will still pay medicare premiums (deducted from social security), secondary insurance (Tri-care for life) and co-pays so we are paying for part & don't "abuse" the sysyem.

So much for free health care for life.

We've even gotten billed for treatment for Darrel's military disability that is compensated.

We agree totally about S.S. & Medicare.
Know very little about Military or Veteran variations of such. Don't need such.

Have longtime paid into my Social Security Account, and prior to my retirement about 7
years ago was told exactly what was in the account (to the penny) & how much would
be receiving monthly, if choosing to retire then.

Even youngsters can check-out what their S.S. Account has accrued to, whenever liked.

On Medicare one has a choice of either paying the ever-increasing monthly premium, or
just have same deducted from ones monthly S.S. Check.

For Supplemental pay premiums to NRA Sponsored Ins. Co (Monumental), since was best &
cheapest could find for self & wife. Must be a member.

Found AARP Big Advertizers are also quite supportive of Dems (both verbally in magazine &
financially), and why Premiums are so much higher. Will rock you on your heels, besides
disgusting you with monthly Democrat Bull and/or: "Scare Tactics" used about Social Security, so The Elderly will be duped voting Democrat as usual & The Mean old Republicans
can't take it away.

Such bull usually works well most every election. Many Old Folks scare quite easy.
